Tyler County outdoor attractions include golfing, hunting, fishing, hiking

The beauty of the outdoors await along winding country roads lined with a kaliedescope of wildflowers and caonopies of trees. Tyler County is easy to reach as a vacation destination or weekend getaway. No more than a two to three hour drive from Pittsburgh, Columbus or Charleston and no more than a single days drive from Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Washington D.C.

Boatng: Boat, fish, jet or water ski on the mighty Ohio River

Camping: Camp along the Ohio River at the Wells Campground or go off the beaten path and camp in the woods at Camp Copperhead.

Golfing: Enjoy a round or two at the Sistersville Country Club

Hunting and Fishing: Lewis Wetzel Wildlife reserve and Conway Lake are two sources for these outdoor sports.

Hiking: There are parks and long meandering country roads that are perfect for strolling.

Nature watch: Look for the white tailed deer, black bear, gray and red foxes, wild turkey, bobwhite quail and grouse. On rare occasions you may even catch a glimpse of a bald eagle.
